Glacier National Park Elopement at 10 Mile Pullout
How lucky are we get to travel for love!? It was truly a dream come true getting to travel to Northwest Montana to document Amber and Ryan’s Glacier National Park elopement at 10 Mile Pullout. From the moment they contacted us, inquiring if we would travel, it was easily the quickest “YES!” we have ever uttered. While we are no strangers to documenting love stories in the mountains, it was such a fun change of pace to take in all that GNP had to offer.
Northwest Montana Wedding Inspiration
We first met this sweet couple back in 2022 when we were photographing and filming Amber’s sister’s wedding day in Lacrosse, Wisconsin. Who would’ve guessed that just a few years later, it would be Amber’s turn to say, “I do”?! After Chuck and I jumped at the opportunity to travel to Northwest Montana, Amber and Ryan’s dreamy day fell into place.
The day before Amber and Ryan’s Glacier National Park elopement, we met up at Clydesdale Ranch Outpost in Kalispell for a pre-wedding photoshoot. Amber is a huge horse-lover, and wanted to implement them somehow into their wedding. The ranch was absolutely stunning — I felt like we were the only 4 people in the world in that moment. The horses frolicking around us, grazing on lush green grass felt so serene. Meeting up before Amber and Ryan’s actual wedding day was also such a great way to shake out any nerves of being in front of the camera and working together. Highly recommend a pre-wedding photoshoot!
Glacier National Park Elopement | 10 Mile Pullout Ceremony
The following day, we met up in the late afternoon to watch the beauty of this mountain wedding day unfold. First up on our list of places to explore in Glacier National Park was Paradise Meadows for the bride and groom’s first look. Every bit of the surrounding area was absolutely breathtaking as Amber strolled along the wooden bridge to greet Ryan. Dramatic cliffsides and lush greenery surrounded them as they hugged and soaked in the moment. We then headed to Logan Creek for the couple to exchange their private vows. The Logan Creek Pullout was the perfect setting! The quiet serenity along the river still gave way to breathtaking mountain views in the distance, without crowds to compete with.
It was a pretty quick drive to Amber and Ryan’s wedding ceremony at 10 Mile Pullout. Ryan’s uncle officiated their ceremony overlooking Jackson Bay. The sunshine reflecting off the lake couldn’t have been more beautiful. During the ceremony, Amber and Ryan sealed a wine box filled with wine and letters to open on their 5 year wedding anniversary. After they were pronounced “husband and wife”, we all drove to Fish Creek Campground for family portraits on the lake and goodies to celebrate the newlyweds. Guests toasted champagne and dined on charcuterie and donuts. What more could you ask for!?
Getting Married in Glacier National Park | Chuck & Shiloh Photo and Film
Amber and Ryan’s elopement concluded with blue hour and a magical sunset over Lake McDonald. It was the perfect way to wrap up their Glacier National Park elopement at 10 Mile Pullout. It’s safe to say that Amber and Ryan’s day will live rent-free in our minds until further notice.
