There are few things I love more in life than a couple highlighting their personalities during their engagement photos. Allie and Brandon hit it out of the park with their western-inspired engagement session in Vail, Colorado. From drinks at a local watering hole to strolling around a favorite fishing spot with their pup in tow, this couple knew the way to my heart. Documenting such a special chapter in their love story was the greatest honor.

Our afternoon together kicked off at one of Allie and Brandon’s favorite local bars — The Gashouse. The interior felt like a cozy log cabin, with deer and other game mounted throughout. Allie and Brandon’s outfits were perfect for sipping an Old Fashioned’s and Coors Banquets. Allie wore a gorgeous white lace slip dress with tan suede cowgirl boots. Brandon’s dark wash jeans, cowboy boots, and chocolate corduroy jacket complimented his gal’s outfit effortlessly. They were radiant with love for one another, which makes my job almost too easy. I don’t think they stopped smiling once.
After cocktails and an outfit change, we made our way to the Curtain Ponds — one of the couple’s favorite fishing spots. And what would an engagement session be without your dog!? If you’ve spent anytime on the blog, you already know that Chuck and I are obsessed with our sweet pup, Hoka. So when Allie and Brandon wanted to include their precious German Shorthaired Pointer in the fun, I was stoked. We then snagged some more cozy couple’s photos around the pond, soaking in every bit of the snowy surroundings. It was the most magical way to spend an early Winter engagement session. When in Vail!

Allie and Brandon’s western-inspired engagement session in Vail, Colorado kicked off the cold months on the best foot. As I write this, these cuties are now officially married. It was such an honor to document this chapter in their love story, as well as their wedding day. This sweet little family will always have a special place in Chuck and my hearts.
